Complete strip down, inspection, assessment, cleaning and preparation of engine for reconditioning. All main bearings, seals and gaskets are replaced and new ones are supplied and fitted, as a matter of course.

A new con rod kit it pressed into your crank halves, and balanced and trued to +/- 0.01mm (1/2 a thou). This includes brand new big end/little end and main bearings. Main seals are also renewed at this point. A new matched piston, rings, gudgeon pin, circlips and associated gaskets are supplied. Valve stem oil seals are fitted and valve clearances are checked. Re-shimming is done at this point, if required. Relining of your cylinder is arranged if required (this is at an extra cost, depending on the condition of your cylinder).

Whilst the engine is apart, I also check all gearbox bearings, shafts and gears for run out and wear. All Oil screens and filters are cleaned and replaced as necessary. All clutch plates, basket and springs are checked for tolerance, wear and function. Any problems are made aware of before continuation of work.

On reassembly, new gaskets and seals are always used. All bearings used are top specification, of the correct tolerance and not cheap, unbranded Chinese items.
